Since 1996, his activity as a DJ strengthened his connection with music, focusing on Detroit Techno and Techno sounds with direct influences from Birmingham, United Kingdom. This phase of his career came to an end in the mid-2000s. After a period of creative pause, in 2014 he created the project ’30drop’ and founded the record label ’30D Records,’ where he serves as Manager and A&R alongside Angel Molina.
He is now back with ‘Insight Into Mind And Space’, his latest full-length project. It is a collection of 10 tracks previously released on Jeff Mills’ Axis label imprint in digital format. This is a limited edition vinyl release aimed at audiophiles, collectors, and lovers of futuristic techno.
As a whole, the album manages to convey introspection, an absorbing energy, and a twilight-like glow, all combining to transform the musical essence into a refreshing ambrosia nectar. The more you listen to the album, the harder it becomes to locate it in a specific geographic place. Its music seems to never solidify, but rather flows between sounds and impressions that don’t fix themselves in space or memory, like a perfume or a fleeting glimpse of a moving body. It positions itself as one of the true future values of serene and radiant electronic music, with a futuristic and innovative approach.
The underlying idea behind this album leads us to one of the crucial attributes of music: its inexhaustible capacity to generate moods that protect us at all times. The meaning of their music is left in the hands of electronic music lovers, beyond the dance floor and all hedonism.
‘Insight Into Mind And Space’ can and should be heard as a portion of timeless music, which transmits a positive idea in times of conflict, and its aesthetic appeals to the most basic, deep and receptive of the spirit. 30drop, in short, designs a wide and fragile sound to listen and feel from the depths.
