“The Forbidden EP” is the first release from producer ^L_ through Italian concept label Insany Industry Recordings.
^ L_ always reveals works full of vigour, substance and complexity in his proposals.
“The Forbidden EP” is a unique work, which consolidates a sound full of cinematographic influences, where the duality in which our culture is rooted stands out.
The set is beautiful, emotional, with lights and shadows, managing to find a round result that does not decay anywhere. Elegance, vigor and adventure are not at odds with accessibility, and here it is demonstrated in each of its notes.
Each track is captivating, with the perfect amount of substance to make it fireproof, presented with a powerful style that ranges from the classic to the cutting edge. A delight only for music lovers, which sums up the musical philosophy of a producer who knows very well how to handle a sound palette full of contrasts.
It is enough to listen to the first beats of this EP to realize that we are beyond the known, embracing the mystery, a darkness yet to be discovered. And as an amalgamation of influences from several decades, this singular work is very personal, and like few others, it is capable of triggering a feeling that is sometimes disconcerting, familiar and welcoming at the same time.
We could say that we are facing an ode to the deepest, most powerful and absorbing eclecticism, but also to cinema and other artistic influences, which he manages to synchronize in such a way that the future of his sound makes its way with the same lucidity. and the usual poise, but with many nuances, winks and movements that they would not be able to imagine.
