As part of Amnesia’s 50th anniversary celebrations, trance music will take center stage throughout the month of June.
Electronic music exists in a constant loop. Genres take turns throughout history, and although they may seem to disappear at times, they always find a way to return. That is exactly the case with trance, which is once again back in fashion after years in the background. Amnesia Ibiza has always kept a close eye on these movements, which is why the club has decided to dedicate a special space to the genre throughout June.
Amnesia Ibiza Trance will take place every week from June 3 to July 1, featuring artists who played a key role in the success of legendary parties such as Cream and Armada. Each date promises its own unique identity, blending classic sounds with modern interpretations, all set against the iconic atmosphere of Amnesia’s dance floors.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3
The opening party will feature Les Schmitz B2B Vicky Divine, Gia, Chicane, Judge Jules, and the legendary Markus Schulz. Over the past few years, Markus Schulz has fused the individual musical identities of progressive, house, and trance into a hybrid sound that is uniquely his own and impossible to imitate. Through a combination of headline DJ sets, releases on Armada and Coldharbour, and his acclaimed radio show Global DJ Broadcast, he has led a true revolution within the trance scene in the United States. This success has translated into weekly performances in front of tens of thousands of people, a GDJB audience reaching millions of listeners, and a constant stream of Beatport number-one hits.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10
The second event will feature Billy Gillies, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Kimmic, Vicky Divine, and headliner Ferry Corsten. A pioneer and dynamic force within the electronic dance music industry, Ferry Corsten never ceases to surprise, impress, and even challenge his contemporaries thanks to the energy and talent he pours into his productions and DJ sets. He is widely recognized for helping open the doors of the international scene to Dutch producers and DJs. Known for the countless aliases under which he has produced and remixed music since releasing his first record at the age of sixteen, Ferry Corsten has remained committed to his dream of bringing his sublime and unique sound to music lovers around the globe. Along the way, he has earned not only the respect of the industry he helped shape, but also admiration across related musical genres.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17
The soundtrack for this event will be provided by Marco V, Nifra, Les Schmitz, and especially Eddie Halliwell and Mauro Picotto. Incredibly passionate about music, Eddie infects crowds with his energy, captivating audiences through highly visual performances, unbelievable interaction with the crowd, and impressive technical skills behind the decks. Mauro Picotto, the Italian DJ who began his career in 1984 at the age of eighteen in a Piedmont club called Top Sound, dedicated himself entirely to DJing after finishing his studies. In 1988 he became a finalist in the Italian DMC Championships, and in 1989 he won the televised Walky Cup competition, cementing his status as Italy’s top DJ.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24
For this date, attendees will enjoy sets from Chicane, Symmetrik, Liam Wilson, Vicky Divine, and Sander van Doorn. An artist who has defined a generation and reshaped our perception of what dance music can be, Sander van Doorn is undoubtedly one of the most essential, influential, and popular DJ/producers in electronic music today. He entered the music scene in 1995 at just sixteen years old. It is virtually impossible to assign him to a single genre, as his music is influenced by a very broad spectrum of sounds. He remains an immensely prolific and diverse producer, with massive solo productions and collaborations that continue to accumulate millions of streams across YouTube and Spotify.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 1
