HINDSIGHT is a retrospective exercise in rave memory and sonic identity. Across 54 minutes, Jëan Fixx deconstructs and reconfigures the dancefloor languages that shaped him — from industrial-rooted Techno and Electro to EBM, Electroclash and Synthpop — filtering them through a contemporary, psychedelic and emotionally intense perspective.
More than a nostalgic homage, the album works as a reconstruction of club culture from a post-industrial viewpoint. Acid textures, progressive structures and his distinctive vocal approach articulate a narrative of transformation: how electronic music became both a refuge and a framework for personal evolution.
HINDSIGHT is not only a celebration of dancefloor intensity, but also a critical reexamination of the formative energy of rave culture, reclaiming it as a space for identity building, resistance and emotional expansion.
HINDSIGHT // TRACK BY TRACK
- In My Head: A slow-burning opening that unfolds like a hypnotic mantra. Driven by a restrained techno pulse and whispered vocals, the track introduces the album’s introspective core: a gradual immersion into psychedelic abstraction and emotional density.
- La Fiesta: Weight and tension emerge through a powerful electro-rooted beat. Inspired by EBM textures, the track explores the contradictory nature of nightlife: the fragile balance between exhaustion and the irresistible urge to keep dancing.
- Pink Noise: An Electroclash-infused detour channeling the hedonistic nocturnal energy of early-2000s club culture. Sharp synth lines and a playful attitude evoke the legacy of figures such as Tiga, DJ Hell, Miss Kittin and The Hacker, reinterpreted through Fixx’s contemporary lens.
- Son Of Fire: Dark, forceful and performative. A hybrid of EBM, Techno and Electro reflecting on transformation and its consequences: humanity’s capacity to reshape its own destiny and the tension inherent in that power.
- Doppelgänger: Ironic and queer-coded, this technopop-oriented cut dives into toxic desire and fleeting nocturnal encounters. Its elastic bassline and playful tone conceal an underlying emotional ambiguity.
- Important Things: Direct and luminous, the lyrics unfold with the immediacy of a haiku. The track returns to the dancefloor from a lighter angle, embracing electro-house cadences without losing its introspective and evocative undertones.
- Dopamina: The album’s only instrumental track. A high-BPM tribute to Big Beat energy, infused with acid and progressive textures that push the psychedelic dimension toward a more physical intensity.
- Keroseno: Oily and desert-like atmospheres evoke a post-apocalyptic rave imaginary. Acid layers and blurred sonic waves build a cinematic landscape somewhere between industrial futurism and dystopian euphoria.
- Rave Dancer: A nostalgic message addressed to the raver Fixx once was in the 1990s. Broken rhythms and raw club energy revisit that formative moment, not as pure nostalgia but as an affirmation of identity.
- Hindsight: A melodic and reflective epilogue. The album closes with a contemplative gesture toward collective desire and community, subtly questioning the individualism that defines contemporary life.

ABOUT JËAN FIXX
Jëan Fixx is the musical alias of multidisciplinary artist Félix Fernández. His sonic proposal moves between Techno, Electro, Synth-wave and EBM, combining industrial textures with a marked atmospheric depth. He has released several EPs and albums on international labels such as iptamenosdiscos, Deep Different, Ruidodefondo and Disctrl, and his work has been featured by media outlets including Radio 3 (Spain), Sinchi Collective (Netherlands) and Byte.FM (Germany). His music has been played at festivals, clubs and podcasts across Europe and Latin America. Recently, he founded INNFLEXIA, his own record label, which also serves as a platform dedicated to the creation, experimentation and dissemination of contemporary electronic music.
