The 33rd anniversary of Satisfaxion brought together three generations of electronic music icons for a night dominated by techno
Fuengirola, August 9, 2026. — Marenostrum Fuengirola experienced one of its biggest nights dedicated to electronic music this Saturday with the celebration of the 33rd edition of Satisfaxion, an event that brought three internationally renowned names to the Unicaja Stage: Underworld LIVE, Sven Väth and Bonobo.
The event transformed the Fuengirola venue into a meeting point for several generations of electronic music fans and once again demonstrated Marenostrum Fuengirola’s ability to host major international productions spanning different styles.
From the early hours of the afternoon, the audience began arriving at the venue to enjoy a programme conceived as a journey through different approaches to electronic music. The line-up brought together the power of techno, experimental electronic sounds and the live dimension that defines some of the genre’s most influential artists.
The performance by Bonobo, the project of British producer, DJ and musician Simon Green, delivered one of the night’s most immersive moments. His sound, built around a combination of electronic music, organic textures and a strong melodic sensibility, offered the audience a different experience and highlighted the stylistic diversity of a line-up that refused to be confined to a single interpretation of the dancefloor. Green has enjoyed a career spanning more than 25 years and has established his project as one of the most recognisable voices in contemporary electronic music.
The night then moved towards more powerful sounds with Sven Väth, one of the most important figures in the history of European techno. With more than four decades of experience, the German DJ, producer and promoter has played a fundamental role in the evolution of electronic music culture and the development of a scene that has influenced several generations of artists and fans.
His set at Marenostrum Fuengirola once again demonstrated his ability to establish a direct connection with the audience through music, in a night where dancing became the common language shared by thousands of attendees.
The highlight of the event came with Underworld LIVE, whose performance brought the spectacular dimension of electronic live music to the Unicaja Stage. The legendary British band delivered their iconic rhythms to a devoted audience, once again demonstrating why they remain one of the essential names in international electronic music.
With a career spanning several decades and generations, the band presented a show in which music, lighting and audiovisual elements came together to create an immersive experience. The energy of the live performance transformed the venue into one huge dancefloor and brought an unforgettable conclusion to a night in which electronic music was the undisputed protagonist.
Satisfaxion thus brought together three complementary perspectives on electronic music: Underworld’s legacy and spectacular live performance, Sven Väth’s historical influence and Bonobo’s contemporary sensitivity. The combination allowed the audience to travel through different eras and sounds of electronic music within a single night.
The event also reinforces Marenostrum Fuengirola’s position as one of Spain’s leading venues for live music, with a programme capable of incorporating major international productions and bringing together world-class artists in the same space. Since 2016, the venue has welcomed more than 600 major artists and attracted over 1.2 million attendees during its first ten seasons, further strengthening its commitment to a diverse programme with international reach.
With this celebration dedicated to electronic music, Marenostrum Fuengirola adds another major weekend to the programme of its eleventh season, which continues this Sunday, August 9, with a performance by the Gypsy Kings and their distinctive fusion of flamenco rumba, Latin sounds and Mediterranean tradition.
