This Saturday at 12:00 PM (Spain time), on the NODIVADJS Radio Show, we’ll be joined by Audioklinik (Yves), an artist who has masterfully blended sound exploration and studio synergy to carve out a unique voice within the underground Techno scene. Before the interview, here’s a sneak peek into his journey, production approach, and vision of today’s electronic music landscape.
Audioklinik: Three Decades of Passion for Techno
From the legendary Swiss raves of the ’90s to the decks of the most demanding underground clubs, Audioklinik has been both a witness and a driving force in the evolution of techno. Yves Nager, the man behind the alias, began his electronic music journey in 1996. Since then, he’s developed a signature sound that fuses Hard Tribal Techno, Hardgroove Techno, Raw Hypnotic Techno, and Old School Techno with touches of Progressive Psytrance.

The Beginnings: From Raves to the Studio
The impact of the Swiss rave scene on Yves was immediate. After attending his first parties in 1994, he knew music was his calling. Inspired by sets from Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, DJ Rush, and Cristian Varela, he dove headfirst into DJing with unwavering determination. In 1996, after months of self-taught practice, he started performing at events and soon became a resident DJ at Bern’s iconic Alte Markthalle, a cornerstone of the Swiss underground scene.
The transition from DJ to producer came in 2003 with the launch of Audioklinik, a project where he combined his musical knowledge with studio technology. In 2005, his talent earned him a spot on Hydraulix, D.A.V.E. The Drummer’s label, marking the beginning of collaborations with some of the industry’s most respected names.
A Unique and Narrative Sound
What sets Audioklinik apart isn’t just his technique—it’s his ability to tell stories through music. With nearly 30 years of experience, he’s perfected the art of crafting sets and productions that take listeners on sonic journeys. His style is defined by mixing with three or four decks, blending tracks with meticulous EQing to create an immersive experience.
Having traveled the world since 2008, Yves has absorbed influences from different cultures, which shine through in the richness of his sound. Additionally, his work as a writer has allowed him to weave storytelling into his sets, turning them into unforgettable auditory adventures.
Collaborations and Achievements
Throughout his career, Audioklinik has worked with some of the most iconic figures in techno. He’s released tracks on labels like Black Codes Experiments (Cristian Varela), Tronic (Christian Smith), and TREGAMBE (Juliet Fox), among others. His tracks have been remixed by artists such as Jam El Mar, John Askew, Steve Redhead, and Samuel L. Session.
One of his most significant recent milestones was the release of Resonance EP on Black Codes Experiments, solidifying his return to the scene after a brief hiatus. He’s also appeared on renowned radio shows like Christian Smith’s Tronic Radio and Cristian Varela’s program.
Production and Gear
Audioklinik blends analog and digital hardware in his creative process. Working alongside Jam El Mar, he used modular synthesizers like the Roland System 700 to compose Symbiosys and Acid Funk on Tronic Records. However, his focus in production isn’t just on the tools—it’s on the inspiration and storytelling that guide each track.
His creative process is influenced by meditation, mindfulness, and yoga nidra—practices that help him stay present and channel emotions into his music.
Current and Future Projects
Currently, Audioklinik hosts Hardgrooves – The Golden Age of Techno on DI.FM, a weekly show paying homage to the Hardgroove and Tribal Techno of the late ’90s and early 2000s. He’s also developing a new project with another producer, exploring the fusion of seemingly opposing styles.
As for upcoming releases, fans can look forward to new tracks on Black Codes Experiments, TREGAMBE, and Techsturbation in the coming months. For now, his focus is on DJing, with the goal of expanding his presence at events and on radio shows.
The Future of Audioklinik
With a career built on passion, exploration, and authenticity, Audioklinik continues to evolve without losing his essence. His desire to collaborate with artists like Marco Bailey reflects his commitment to continuous learning and respect for techno’s history.
For those seeking a DJ who can blend history, innovation, and passion into every set, Audioklinik is a sure bet. His music isn’t just heard—it’s experienced.
