Adam Beyer’s hugely anticipated ‘Explorer Vol.1’ album is out now – his first longplayer in 23 years. Another superb album highlight is ‘Loca’, Beyer’s maiden collaboration with French stalwart Julian Jeweil.

Following the LP’s eponymous first single, ‘Explorer’ which dropped in March, and the well-received ‘Hypnotic’, a collaboration with rising producer HNTR feat. Kyozo, highlights have been coming thick and fast. They include the 12,000 person Drumcode party at Drumsheds (featuring Adam Beyer b2b Vintage Culture) a wild Drumcode Pop up event at an off license in London, while Beyer featured on two billboards in Leicester Square and Stratford to celebrate his takeover of Spotify’s Techno State playlist. Most recently, Beyer dropped his first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix since 2006 and linked with Layton Giordani for the divine ‘Alto’, while minting his first collaboration with Chris Avantgarde with the acclaimed widescreen production ‘Desolate Lands’. The latest album focus track is ‘Loca’, Beyer’s maiden collaboration with French mainstay Julian Jeweil. The track brims with old skool energy, while linking with the punchy Drumcode sound that characterised the 2010’s. A classic heads down techno roller that superbly contrasts some of the album’s more crossover moments.“Julien sent me a track and asked if I wanted to jump on it. I reworked it into something that throws back to the older, bigger drum kit sounds from 5–8 years ago.
