The festival held at Playa Tamarindo (Costa Rica) has become a true example of how music, spirituality and the electronic community can coexist in perfect harmony
In an overcrowded scene filled with monstrous productions and megalomaniac concepts, discovering something fresh and genuine reaffirms the belief that electronic music can still create moments of real happiness and authenticity. This is the case with Dreamsea Sónica, a festival that fuses the sound of Ibiza with the spirit of Tamarindo. Once again, the experience did not disappoint: two unforgettable days where positive energy and musical quality took centre stage.
January 23 and 24, 2026 were the chosen dates for the third edition of Dreamsea Sónica. Once again, the venue was Dreamsea Surf Camp, located on Playa Tamarindo on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast — a setting where nature expresses itself freely, bringing together international music and travel communities like never before.
Each of the two stages served as a sanctuary for music and for those eager to live an unforgettable story. At The Endless Summer, we experienced the true surf culture of Tamarindo, with a very special vibe illuminated by glorious sunshine. For those seeking a more intimate space, there was The Nest, whose stage entrance portal was designed and built by ART by Santiago Imberti. A gateway to spirituality and rebirth, embraced by a wild forest full of life.
Throughout the venue, the experience extended far beyond sound. artco collective presented live performances and movement pieces; Hypnotica added immersive visual layers; and Hirk Art transformed the surroundings through sculptural and spatial installations, organically integrated into the environment rather than simply placed on top of it.
For those who were unable to attend in person, the live broadcast via Ibiza Sonica Radio was simply outstanding. Their professionalism and technical production allowed people thousands of miles away to truly feel the energy of Dreamsea Sónica.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 23
Dreamsea Sónica began its journey on Friday, January 23 at 2:00 PM at the Mango Treehouse, a surprise stage located at one of Dreamsea’s most iconic spots. For over 12 years, this tree has been a natural meeting point within the camp. DJ Toba, alongside Amor Reluciente and Alain, opened the festival with an organic, groove-filled session that set everything in motion.
The Endless Summer Stage came alive with Singhara’s set — the perfect soundtrack to enjoy access to the pool and jacuzzi, food trucks and market. As sunset approached, Tamarindo residents Kloe Music and Santiago Brown guided the transition into a Cencalli Music showcase featuring Dbasser, followed by headliners JO.KE, Valentín Huedo and a nighttime closing set by Hector Couto.
Meanwhile, across the bridge, The Nest Stage maintained its own distinct energy throughout the night with Dancer Soul, Samu, Toba, Sweetbo, David Medina, Frigid, Karlos Sense and a closing set by Ivo Villalobos.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 24
Saturday, January 24 marked the final chapter of Dreamsea Sónica 2026. At the Endless Summer Stage, the afternoon began with Ronald González b2b Static, setting a dancefloor-driven tone ideal for a long day under the sun. The momentum continued with Karlos Sense and Aday Chinea, arriving from Ibiza. The first Saturday headliner, Santiago García, kept the energy flowing as attendees moved between the pool, the jungle and the stage.
As night fell, M.A.N.D.Y. took control, leading into one of the weekend’s most anticipated moments: M.A.N.D.Y. b2b JO.KE — an intense and precise collaboration designed for peak nighttime energy. The Endless Summer Stage closed with Neliah Kandisha, delivering a powerful and commanding final set to end on a high note.
Across the bridge and deeper into the forest, The Nest Stage unfolded its own journey. The night began with Jon Cárdenas, Armandd G and Gera Cedeño. As the evening progressed, the underground sound took over with Miranda and Fercho Salazar, before Ezequiel Marinoni delivered a deep and hypnotic closing descent.
CONCLUSION
Dreamsea Sónica is far more than a festival — it is a state of mind, a burst of positive energy, a perfect opportunity to merge with nature, nourishment for the soul. This third edition exceeded expectations once again, showing a level of maturity beyond the previous year and, above all, gifting us truly magical musical moments.
Dreamsea Sónica 2026 was a success, which means it will return even stronger in 2027. That is undoubtedly the good news. The only downside is the many months we must wait before living this experience again. At least we are left with countless unforgettable memories to carry us through.
