The transatlantic studio link-up has become an annual tradition on Drumcode. Bart Skils is a master of rolling grooves, while Weska brings a deft touch for crafting standout melodies and chord progressions. Together, they’ve gifted us a string of quality works highlighted by ‘Shades of Summer’, ‘Something More’ and ‘Torn Clouds’, among others.
Their latest drop doesn’t take a backward step. Always keeping it fresh, the title track shows a different side to their repertoire; it’s a late-night punchy groover that works equally in house and techno sets and is accentuated by a thrashing guitar line and stirring vocal – ‘if it wasn’t for the music, I don’t know what I’d do’.
‘Silent Pressure’ balances elegance and chaos beautifully and is one of the straight-up sexiest tracks we’ve had on Drumcode for a while. Lock in for a sleek dancefloor tool that builds tension with every bar as background textures swell and recede throughout. A triumph.
