Spanish artist TOYZZ is the latest new face to debut on Truesoul.
The Alicante-based DJ/producer revels in building tracks from the ground up, taking influence from bass house, tech house and reggae, which give his productions a certain warmth and distinct rhythmic identity. Dillon Francis described his music as sounding “like being in a submarine in the deepest water” and anyone who’s caught cuts like ‘SexyBack’ on Spinnin Deep (Beatport bass house no.1) or the Dom Dolla-championed ‘Generation’ can attest to his subterranean appeal.
His contribution to Truesoul delivers on its promise. ‘This Beat’ is a slick crowd-conjurer, as smoky grooves pair powerfully with a commanding vocal line. An essential DJ tool with plenty of rhythmic spice! Driven by plenty of bottom-end grunt, ‘Earthquake’ doesn’t take a backwards step either. This is a technicoloured party tune laced with psy and an absolute tune of the highest order. Lock in for a fun one!
