The Rising Artist Announces ‘As Soon As I Get Home’ EP
UK/EU Tour in April Including Headline Show At London’s Village Underground
UK-based multi-instrumentalist, artist, DJ and producer Rules returns with his fourth single “Nothing Left”, a deep, reflective club cut set for release on 15th April via Ninja Tune imprint Counter Records.
The track features emotive vocals from Coldabank and SHYA, marking another evolution in Rules’ signature blend of atmospheric house and introspective songwriting.”’Nothing Left’ started from a short vocal idea I recorded with SHYA.” Rules tells, “Coldabank and I built everything around that moment, letting it slowly gather energy and movement as it unfolds, it was recorded almost entirely with layers of a Juno 106 synthesiser which we recorded together in London and we built the track outward from there. The record sits in that feeling of running on empty, but still finding something in you to keep going.”
Alongside the single, Rules also announces his forthcoming EP ‘As Soon As I Get Home’, due for release on 29th May. The project captures a more personal and introspective side of his sound, exploring themes of nostalgia, transition and emotional connection through rich, club-driven production.
Rules continues to build significant momentum on the live circuit, with multiple sold-out dates on his upcoming EU/UK tour already confirmed, including Amsterdam and Glasgow . His headline London show at Village Underground, alongside dates in Dublin and Manchester, are also close to selling out, reflecting his rapidly growing fanbase.
Further cementing this connection with fans, Rules recently hosted an intimate EP listening party on Friday 27th March at Pony Studios in Hackney, London. Sponsored by Jubel, the packed-out event saw fans gather to hear Rules (Rich) talk through the creation and meaning behind the EP, alongside exclusive live performances of select tracks featuring guest vocalist MURPHY.
Known for his warm and ethereal sound, Rules blends house music influences with emotionally driven, euphoric soundscapes. Across his releases to date, he has amassed hundreds of millions of streams, with breakout moments including his viral rework of Womack & Womack’s “Teardrops”, which later received an official release. His work has earned widespread support, including airplay from BBC Radio 1, and collaborations with a growing list of respected artists.
‘Nothing Left’ marks the next step in Rules’ artistic journey, setting the tone for what promises to be his most cohesive and personal body of work to date with ‘As Soon As I Get Home’.
