Truesoul is delighted to welcome ascendent Korean artist Selena to the label, who shares a deeply personal work ‘Green Light’.
The Seoul-born, Barcelona-based artist discovered electronic music during her school years in Spain and has been working on her craft ever since. Set to open for Adam Beyer at Input in early July, she levels up with two quality tracks on Truesoul that show her range as a producer.
‘Green Light’ is an energetic club-focused gem, blending a catchy vocal and old skool-inspired synths. In contrast ‘Lose Myself’ ramps up the intensity, a slick late-night techno jam, imbued with melodic elements and a dreamy vocal.
Selena says the EP is centred around themes of “freedom, forward-motion and self-discovery”. She explains further: “I wanted this EP to capture the feeling of moving forward, even when things feel uncertain. For me, freedom isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting yourself enough to keep going.
“’Green Light’ represents that moment of choosing to move forward with confidence, while ‘Lose Myself’ is about letting go, being present, and finding yourself through the journey. I wanted both tracks to feel uplifting and emotional in different ways, while still telling the same story,” she shares.
