The new release marks the beginning of a new artistic chapter for Álvaro Marteen and Ale Lozano’s first venture into electronic music and Tech-House
Some nights start with no plans and end when the sun is already up. That feeling of going with the flow, losing track of time and not wanting the night to end is the starting point for “No Puedo Dormir”, the new single by Álvaro Marteen and Ale Lozano, set for release on November 6 via Physical Presents.
The track was born out of a long-standing friendship and a collaboration that, almost unintentionally, grew into a shared project. Álvaro invited Ale to the studio to experiment with some ideas and record vocals for one of the songs he was working on. From that first session, everything began to flow naturally, and the concept behind “No Puedo Dormir” gradually took shape around a phrase that would eventually become the track’s title.
Musically, “No Puedo Dormir” sits somewhere between Tech-House and electronic music, combining dancefloor energy with a prominent vocal and a story that anyone who has experienced a seemingly endless night out in Madrid can relate to. The track captures, with a playful tone, that moment when going out without too many expectations turns into a night that stretches all the way until dawn. There is even room for humour, with the character of a neighbour who appears to be annoyed by the noise but might actually just be upset about not having been invited.
A New Chapter for Álvaro Marteen
For Álvaro Marteen, “No Puedo Dormir” also holds special significance: it is the first release in a new chapter of his artistic project, following months of work and the development of several tracks exploring a new sonic direction. The artist had been looking for a song in which vocals would play a leading role, something he found through his collaboration with Ale Lozano. The vocals were recorded in late summer 2025, and after months of versions, adjustments and production work, the track is finally ready for release.
Álvaro Marteen’s career has been shaped by a strong technical background and constant evolution. At just 17, he moved to the Netherlands to study music production and later graduated as a sound engineer. In 2020, under the alias Kaotik Mind, he built a career in Hardstyle, releasing several tracks and collaborations before embarking on a new chapter as Álvaro Marteen. Since then, he has performed at some of Madrid’s leading clubs, released music on labels associated with artists such as Showtek, and made his first international appearances in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
His current sound blends dancefloor-driven music, vocals and immersive loops, complemented by a live performance that incorporates visuals and a distinctive aesthetic. It is an identity that seeks to go beyond music, while also reflecting on modern routines, the lack of free time and the need to reclaim spaces for personal freedom.
Ale Lozano Explores Electronic Music
For Ale Lozano, “No Puedo Dormir” represents a change of direction. A singer, journalist and content creator based in Madrid, Ale has previously released music mainly within the pop sphere and has built a digital community of more than 140,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram. She now ventures into electronic music and Tech-House for the first time, revealing an artistic side that her audience has not seen before.
Ale herself explains that the contrast between the two artists is one of the project’s key elements: while for Álvaro it represents the beginning of a new musical chapter, for her it means taking on the challenge of exploring an entirely different territory and entering the electronic music scene for the first time.
Physical Presents, the Label Behind the Release
“No Puedo Dormir” will be released through Physical Presents, a Canadian label specialising in electronic and dance music. Its catalogue features releases by international artists such as Felix Cartal, BIJOU, BYOR, Kasablanca, Manila Killa and Morgan Page, as well as tracks that have achieved notable chart positions and multi-platinum certifications.
