The producer draws on the raw energy of ’90s rave and techno for a hardware-driven debut packed with 303 pressure, industrial textures and relentless dancefloor intensity
MXGN launches his new imprint INXT Records with ‘Bring Back Acid’, a blistering hard techno single arriving on Friday 6th November 2026. Drawing inspiration from the raw, uncompromising sounds of ’90s dance music and underground techno, the release brings a hardware-driven approach to contemporary hard dance, combining searing acid sequences, industrial percussion and rave-soaked synthesis in a full-throttle statement of intent for the label.
‘Bring Back Acid’ wastes little time establishing its considerable weight, driving forward with pounding techno rhythms, gritty industrial textures and a potent 303 bassline that twists and modulates throughout. Piercing rave synths and abrasive electronic layers build around its relentless percussive core, creating a dense, high-pressure arrangement loaded with the raw energy of classic acid techno and the harder, faster edges of modern club music. Unapologetically intense and packed with rhythmic movement, it’s a peak-time stomper made for hot, sweaty, pitch-black dancefloors, where the physical impact of the groove takes precedence over everything else.
Central to the release is MXGN’s hands-on production approach, with the track recorded directly from hardware rather than relying solely on digital production techniques. The result reflects his fascination with the physical character of analogue equipment, bringing the rougher textures, unpredictable movement and unmistakable squelch of the 303 into a contemporary techno setting.
Inspired by the sounds and spirit of the 1990s, MXGN draws on an era when acid sequences, hard-edged drum machines and uncompromising rave energy became defining features of underground electronic music. ‘Bring Back Acid’ carries those influences into the present, retaining their raw character while increasing the intensity through modern production weight and driving hard techno rhythms.
The single also marks the first release on INXT Records, establishing the imprint through a sound firmly rooted in hardware experimentation, acid techno and high-impact club production. With MXGN continuing to develop his musical identity through a direct, machine-focused creative process, the label’s opening release provides an introduction to the harder, rave-influenced direction of his work.
MXGN’s ‘Bring Back Acid’ will be released on the 6th November on his brand-new label INXT.
