The Barcelona-based DJ and producer, who has shared his experience with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), releases his new track on October 9, coinciding with World Mental Health Day.
For years, Jaume Aymar has lived with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), a condition that has affected his daily life and left him trapped in rituals for hours at a time. It was an especially difficult period, during which he also experienced suicidal thoughts. Over time, he decided to speak openly about his experiences to help others who might be going through similar situations. Today, under his artistic name Mind Sylenth, he transforms part of that experience into ‘Need You’, a new single that turns a simple yet powerful message into music: recognising that we need help is also a form of strength.
Available on all platforms from October 9 via BDM Sounds, the release coincides with World Mental Health Day. The timing reinforces the meaning of a track that goes beyond the dancefloor. Featuring dark, elegant melodic house production, vocals and an emotional atmosphere, ‘Need You’ focuses on those two words that can sometimes be so difficult to say out loud: I need you.
“I make music because it’s my therapy,” explains the artist, who has spoken candidly about his experiences in interviews, on social media and through mental health awareness initiatives. His story resonates with a community of more than 700,000 people, and his release is driven by a conviction he wants to share: seeking help as early as possible can make a difference. Music is part of his personal journey, but the message behind ‘Need You’ does not present songs as a cure. Instead, it highlights music as a way to express emotions and open up conversations that remain essential.
The track was born from a desire to give a voice to what so many people experience in silence. Its sound is designed for the club, but its message reaches far beyond the dancefloor: recognising that something is wrong, talking about it or leaning on others is not always easy. However, doing so does not mean giving up. It means taking the first step.
“If there’s someone in your life you can turn to, tell them today. And if you’re the one struggling, seek help as soon as possible,” says Mind Sylenth. It is a direct invitation to talk, listen and seek support, especially at a time when mental health needs greater visibility and less stigma.

Mind Sylenth: music, experience and awareness
Born in Barcelona in 1994, Jaume Aymar has spent nearly 15 years developing his career as a DJ and producer. During this time, he has released music on labels including Blanco y Negro, Black Hole Recordings, Smash Deep and 2Dutch, and has performed in countries such as Spain, the United Kingdom, France and South Korea.
Alongside his musical career, he has turned his personal experience into an opportunity to raise awareness about mental health through podcasts, talks and collaborations with associations. This work now goes hand in hand with a new artistic chapter in which he embraces a distinctive melodic house sound, combining vocals, emotional depth and carefully crafted production.
With ‘Need You’, Mind Sylenth brings these two paths together in a particularly meaningful release: a track conceived for the dancefloor that also invites listeners to pause, listen and remember that no one has to face their struggles alone.
