Marien Baker and Kristine Love continue to take giant steps with their project Freyja, signing with one of the most important agencies in the scene, releasing their first track and announcing a packed schedule of events.
When the Freyja adventure first began, excitement and passion were the fuel driving the project forward. Just a few months later, the dream is steadily becoming a reality through hard work and the right decisions. The concept created by Marien Baker and Kristine Love has reached a new level thanks to the support of one of the most respected international agencies in the scene. Analog has added Freyja to its roster of artists. To celebrate, they have just released their track “Dhoka” on the label Pandora Rec., owned by Massianello.

“Dhoka” is based on “Dil Lena Khel Hai Dildar Ka”, a very well-known song in Indian music whose original vocals are sung in Hindi. In this version, that distinctive element is preserved: the vocals remain in their original language, respecting the cultural essence of the track while Freyja brings it into their own sonic territory.
“Dil Lena Khel Hai Dildar Ka” became especially popular as part of the soundtrack of the film Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai (1981), composed by R.D. Burman, one of the most influential composers and producers in Bollywood history. The track combines highly recognizable melodies with the energy of Indian cinematic pop from that era.
Within their production project, Freyja is particularly interested in exploring exactly this: reinterpreting traditional or popular songs from different countries while keeping their native languages and connecting them with their own sonic vision. The idea is to build a bridge between cultures, respecting the origin of each piece while transforming it into a new musical context. “Dhoka” is the first step on that journey.
Why Freyja?
Freyja is a new adventure that merges the passion of two creative and restless souls: Marien Baker and Kristine Love. Two artists with established individual careers on the international scene and more than 15 years behind the decks, who come together in an original project to explore Tech House and Afro Tribal sounds with a touch of mysticism. Freyja represents empowerment, creativity and, above all, a passion for electronic music.
The project’s name pays tribute to the Norse goddess Freyja, a symbol of strength, sensuality and feminine power. It represents the essence of the music created by its two members: powerful, vibrant music with overwhelming energy that connects with the audience on a deep level. More than a musical project, Freyja is a visual and sonic experience that connects cultures, invites people to dance and celebrates diversity within the international electronic music scene. Freyja is more than a name — it is an artistic proposal that elevates music and celebrates feminine strength.
