VITO presents the single “Mutatio,” the latest preview of his self-titled debut album, which will be released on Friday, April 11th. “Mutatio” is the title track of the artist’s debut album, one of the most significant in his repertoire; its title comes from Latin and means change or transformation, a key idea in the creation of the Granada-born solo artist’s debut album.
“Mutatio,” VITO’s debut album, began development several years ago, studying harmony, seeking complicity with instruments, learning from other musical influences, and, ultimately, professionalizing the creative process to create the story of this magnificent album.
“Mutatio” reflects precisely that process: a constant transformation in the search for a better version of oneself, a path that, paradoxically, never ends. New goals and concerns always arise. It is this evolution that propels us to where we want to be: “I will change shape to fly.”
Musically, the single also reflects this renewal. It begins with a piano and a voice, gradually joined by percussion and several layers of synthesizers. Before the chorus, the atmosphere builds until it reaches its climax with an energetic cadence and exceptional rhythm. The Granada-born artist’s approach lies somewhere between melodic pop and bedroom pop, with influences from the British sound. “Mutatio” was recorded at Coolmood Studios in Madrid under the production of Pablo Díez and David García, producers who have worked with such important artists as Los Morochos, Agoney, and Marlon, among others.
