Her new single “You Will Shine” follows the same path as her previous track “ICONISMO”—two genuine dancefloor smash hits that anticipate what’s to come on her upcoming album “Ilúmina.”
Soraya’s relationship with electronic music is nothing new; throughout her career, the singer has shown her passion for this genre and how naturally she moves within it. Since her early days, Soraya has been the voice behind numerous successful productions, paying tribute to disco classics and later releasing her album “Dreamer” and its reissue “Dreamer Reloaded,” both featuring the work of renowned international producers and DJs.
In 2013, following the success of another of her electronic hits, “Con Fuego,” came what many consider to be the best album of her career: “Universe in Me.” Together with its Deluxe Edition, it represents a meticulous international collaboration with the Swedish team Tortuga and producer Ollie Olsson, who has also worked with major artists such as Robyn, Morcheeba, Teddybears, and Snoop Dogg.
If there’s one thing that defines Soraya’s career, it’s her nonconformist spirit—and she proves it once again by surrounding herself with a young yet talented creative team to craft “Ilúmina,” the album that marks her return to her favorite sound: electronic pop. The creativity and talent of her collaborators is undeniable—trendsetting young producers like Fectro, Bengro, Seiken, Afraa, The Griffe, Esteban Lopez, Essie DJ, Juan Battista, and David Parejo. Together with Soraya, they’ve created a cohesive album where house, afro, and hard rhythms coexist and flow in harmony.
Soraya presents “You Will Shine,” a new preview from her forthcoming album “Ilúmina.” Produced and written by Soraya herself alongside Seiken and Essie DJ, this single continues the electronic direction of her latest hit “Iconismo.” “You Will Shine” speaks about love and empathy among human beings and how we can overcome dark times through the special light of music. With an aura of a grand anthem and magical, immersive sounds, the song was born organically and very quickly, becoming in just a few days one of the most anticipated collaborations on the new record, set to arrive very soon.
The track will be accompanied by a music video featuring both Soraya and Essie DJ, portraying their journeys from childhood to the present—showing that music has a plan to unite us, as if it were destiny.
