Ten years after its creation, MOGA Festival celebrates in Essaouira, the city where it all began, with a very special edition marking a decade of music, community and cultural exchange on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. From September 30 to October 4, MOGA Festival will celebrate a landmark edition that positions Essaouira as one of the most attractive destinations for welcoming the autumn.
What began in 2016 as a boutique festival by the Atlantic has evolved into one of the leading electronic music festivals in Morocco and the Middle East, bringing together thousands of travelers from around the world every October. Today, MOGA is recognized for its unique combination of electronic music, Moroccan culture, wellness, surfing and creativity, offering a one-of-a-kind immersive experience in a magical setting between the Atlantic Ocean and the dunes of Diabat.
Over the past ten years, MOGA has expanded its international presence with editions in Portugal since 2021, Spain since 2025 and, soon, Brazil, while always maintaining its roots in Essaouira and its commitment to showcasing Moroccan culture on the international stage.
A decade of music and creativity on Morocco’s Atlantic coast
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, MOGA brings together some of the artists who best represent the festival’s musical identity. Among the standout names, the anniversary edition features an exceptional trio.
Headlining the lineup is Jamie Jones, one of the most influential figures in the international house scene, who will perform in Morocco for the first time after more than two decades at the forefront of club culture. Joining him will be The Martinez Brothers, who will also make their first appearance in Morocco in more than twenty years, bringing their unmistakable New York house sound to Essaouira. Dutch duo ANOTR, now one of the most in-demand projects in contemporary electronic music and the creators of the acclaimed No Art movement, are another of the festival’s headliners and will close the event.
They will be joined by an incredible selection of international and local artists who will provide the soundtrack for five days of festival experiences, reaffirming MOGA’s commitment to discovering new talent and supporting Morocco’s vibrant electronic music scene.

An endless summer in Essaouira
While much of Europe bids farewell to summer, Essaouira enjoys a mild climate that has made it one of Morocco’s most inspiring destinations, with the Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop. Over five days, MOGA invites visitors to discover the city through its Medina, riads, beaches, gastronomy, artisan traditions, surf culture and relaxed, cosmopolitan atmosphere. Well connected to Spain’s main cities, MOGA Festival offers one of the must-do getaways of the autumn, transforming Essaouira into a meeting point for music lovers, travelers and creatives from around the world during the first week of October.
Five days, two experiences
The festival revolves around two complementary experiences.
MOGA OFF (September 30 and October 1) transforms the city into a vast open cultural space featuring DJ sessions, concerts, wellness activities, surfing, open-air cinema, workshops and local experiences spread across some of the Medina’s most emblematic corners.
MOGA IN (October 2, 3 and 4), held at Hôtel Le Golf d’Essaouira & Spa, brings together four stages where music, art, gastronomy and design come together within a palm grove to create a unique immersive experience.
