Single “Sábado noshe”
Release Date: March 14
Following the release of the 7-inch “Lo Nuestro y lo robao,” the Loja-based band, formed in early 2020 by seasoned musicians from pop, rock, metal, and blues groups such as Del Ayo, Checopolaco, Colt Puppets, Undone, and Pezón Blues, among others, adds another twist to their signature blend of badass rock and rumba, joining La Madre with David Sutil to record their second album, “Rumb’n’roll.”
The single also features “Sábado noshe,” a dizzying track, accompanied by a striking music video that perfectly defines the concept of rumb’n’roll that gives the LP its title.
In this track, they blend the brazen punk-rock and garage attitude the band exudes live with their fondness for 70s quinqui rumba (Chichos, Calis), the compositional universe of Kiko Veneno, the garrapeterismo of Los Delinqüentes, and even the poetry of gypsy singer-songwriter Manzanita, whom they pay homage to in the chorus.
Superhéroes de barrio deserves a close listen because their lyrics and music are full of references to literature, film, and the great classics of popular music. Nothing is left to chance in songs that captivate you on first listen and grow with each repeat.
Rumb’n’roll, the second album by Superhéroes de barrio, was recorded and mixed at La Madre Studios by David Sutil (Chamán Indio) between July and December 2024.
The album’s production and arrangements are handled by B. Wayne, C. Kent, and David Sutil. The cover designs are by Perrier and the photography is by Noelia Lafuente.
Superhéroes de barrio hijo:
Tony Slowfinger: Vocals, electric guitar, flute, backing vocals.

The flamenco cajón and palmas on “Sábado noshe” are masterfully played by the great Javier de Carmen.
The live presentation of this preview will take place on March 22nd at the legendary Palo Palo venue in Marinaleda (Seville).
Their full-length album “Rumb’n’roll” will be released next June, supported by a promotional tour.
