Francis is the first Haitian DJ to hold a summer residency in Ibiza, and at his Hï Ibiza opening party he will perform alongside French-Haitian singer Naïka.
In recent years, electronic music has experienced an unprecedented cultural expansion, driven by local scenes that have brought new narratives, sounds and identities to the global circuit. Among them, the contribution of Haitian artists is emerging as one of the most distinctive, blending Caribbean roots, African heritage and a contemporary vision of international club culture.
And if there is one artist leading the rise of Haitian electronic culture, it is Francis Mercier. Francis Mercier has established himself as one of the most influential figures in the visibility and international projection of Haitian musical identity within the global electronic scene. His work has not only helped expand the reach of house and Afro-electronic music on international circuits, but has also created a narrative space where Haitian culture occupies a central, contemporary and respected place within club culture.

Through his sound, Mercier has built a unique musical language that connects modern electronic music with Afro-Caribbean roots, incorporating organic percussion, traditional vocals and a rhythmic sensitivity that reflects Haiti’s cultural heritage. This fusion has allowed elements historically associated with traditional Haitian music to find new forms of expression on global dancefloors, from Ibiza to major international festivals.
Francis Mercier’s latest major milestone is becoming the first Haitian DJ to hold a full summer residency in Ibiza. This residency will take place at Hï Ibiza with his Solèy party, a platform where more Haitian artists, invited by Francis, will be able to showcase their immense talent.
The first to do so will be Naïka, the French-Haitian artist who will perform several songs alongside Francis during his set on June 1st at the Solèy opening party. Naïka has built a global audience of over 2 million followers, surpassing 165 million streams across all platforms. She is not only a musical force, but also a prominent figure in fashion and visual storytelling. Her bold and eclectic aesthetic has led to collaborations with major luxury brands and leading publications, including Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Elle, Fendi + Jamalouki Magazine, and 1309 Studios. In addition, Naïka is deeply committed to social impact work, collaborating with organizations such as Fleur de Vie, a Haitian NGO focused on improving children’s education, with the ultimate goal of building a school in Haiti.

Francis Mercier transcends music itself; his impact lies in building a bridge between identity, culture and global electronic music, redefining how Caribbean influences are perceived within contemporary club culture and consolidating a narrative in which Haiti not only participates, but leads with its own voice within the international electronic ecosystem.
