Hi, Sander! Congrats on the release of ‘Infinite Hourglass’! How are you?
Hey there, nice to meet you. Thank you for your kind words, doing quite good.
Please share with us your story and concept behind this driving Progressive House track and its title, ‘Infinite Hourglass.’
The track idea is a little bit older (initially started 2 years ago) but the fully developed concept of the track was put in place last year, had a very strong creative spark around the main theme of the track and I was able to came with this driving & punchy Progressive sound. The title was connected with the ‘timeless’ feeling I felt from of the final sound.
Were there any influences or from the Progressive House genre you drew from to create the vibe of ‘Infinite Hourglass’?
The influences that contributed to the vibe of “Infinite Hourglass” could encompass a combination of melodic, atmospheric, rhythmic, and dynamic approach.
How did you go about structuring this track to make it ethereal as well as progressive?
After I had the main idea of the track I’ve started to build a proper groove and the breakdown with the second melodic element which is following main theme on the second section of the track. I’ve continued with creating the atmosphere & the deepness of the track going into the final form of the track.
Did you experiment with new equipment or a sound technique in creating this track?
It was an usual production technique used in this track, the process was quite smooth.
Was there a valuable lesson you learned while making this piece?
Nothing really specific on this one.
How does this track differ from your previous releases?
Its playful melody and some different vibe which I cannot describe in words. All of my tracks are different from one another.
What was something you loved about producing this track?
Every element of the track is important for me.
What is the one thing you want the listener to feel or get from this track?
A feeling where the main lead is taking the listener into a Progressive journey, I consider that every listener experiments the track in their own way.
What’s next on the horizon for Sander Wilder?
There is already another release aligned for the summer with a slightly different approach + other projects in progress, so keep an eye on my social media for the news.
