People of the Light mark their second all-female-produced release with SuperJaimie’s “You in My Dreams”, a snappy vocal cut that trades in atmosphere over spectacle. The original moves on clean percussion and hushed chords, letting a soft-focus vocal carry the emotion without crowding the mix.
Jay Hill keeps the intimacy intact while nudging the drums forward for more club certainty whilst keeping the vibe strong. Meanwhile Subjacent takes a different route, streamlining into deep, driving Techno drums with a tougher low end and fewer adornments, then pares it back further on the Dub by removing the vocal for tool-room utility. An Instrumental rounds out the release for DJs who prefer the mood without the vocal.
It’s a versatile package that works from warm-up to late hours, quietly confident and continuing People of The Lights track record of bringing together some incredible artists at the top of their game.
