Kadupul is the new EP by percussionist and producer Michelle Kestrel, released April 18th on Seattle’s Eklectic Sounds, a new, multi-genre, sister label to the iconic West Coast house music mainstay, Uniting Souls Music.
Deeply influenced by ambient, world and underground dance music, Michelle’s compositions are a confluence of dreamy synths, haunting dub crashes, lush tabla, percussive polyrhythms and shuffling dance beats.
“Salvia Amistad” is the second track on the EP, and it was inspired by elements of Michelle’s live performances at various West Coast festivals over the past year.
