Two generations of German techno producers unite, as Kaufmann and Oliver Huntemann share debut collaboration ‘K.O.’.
The link up feels like it’s been brewing for a while. Kaufmann has dropped multiple EP’s on Huntemann’s respected Senso Sounds imprint, including ‘Poolboi’ and ‘Ibu 3000’, while the Hamburg legend’s music has had a profound influence on her. In an interview last year, she even named Huntemann’s ‘Unravel Me’ as her most streamed track at the time.
‘K.O.’ is Kaufmann’s first drop on Drumcode in 2026, following ‘Broncho’s Sandman’ which features on DC4 Vol.1 last summer and ‘People Are Strange’ which was included on A-Sides Vol.14. Meanwhile, despite being at the forefront of European techno for decades, Oliver Huntemann is just getting started on his Drumcode journey. ‘KO’ follows a contribution to A-Sides Vol.14 late last year with ‘TrackonTrack’.
“It’s a pleasure working with Oliver. It was so nice to see how we wanted the same thing with different approaches and in the end, being the best team.” — Kaufmann
“Working with Kaufmann felt incredibly natural from the start. We came from different creative angles, but shared the same vision — and that’s exactly what made this collaboration so special.” — Oliver Huntemann
