Lucky Sun returns with Waves EP, a three-track release that embraces the warmer, more understated side of electronic music. Following the success of his two remixes of Anna Ling, which earned support from respected names including Daddy G, Richard Dorfmeister and Bill Brewster, the producer now turns his attention to a more personal and cohesive statement.
Out on Lucky Sun Recordings, Waves EP captures the feeling of a fading summer through chilled-out atmospheres, intricate rhythmic patterns and carefully placed vocal touches from Shelley. Rather than chasing immediate dancefloor impact, the release finds its strength in subtle progression, smooth grooves and a sense of understated musicality.
A warm and fluid collection that balances club sensibilities with a more laid-back listening experience.
