Nikka Lorak’s label Cruel Kind bring you their second label release, Superpower by brand new artist m0depain. The independent label, which Nikka describes as ‘an independent label for electronic rockstars’ is a haven for artists who don’t fit the usual mold.
m0depain is a perfect example of this. Raw, fresh and like a hostile takeover of your headphones. You haven’t heard of m0depain yet—and that’s the point. Press play. There are no polite introductions here. The vocal hook sings directly to you:
‘You’re My Superpower ‘
What comes next is a neurofunk, drum n bass onslaught of calculated savagery. Dancefloors go crazy to Superpower. People stop and take notice, in a ‘wow, what is this?’ kind of way. Once you’ve heard, Superpower your ears will never be the same.
No overthinking, no filler, just pure, unapologetic dancefloor warfare. m0depain. Remember the name of the brightest new spark of the genre.
