So, as Meetch discusses his plans for his show, we learn what the Producer and DJ is most excited about as he continues working to establish the reputation of ‘Digital Dance Radio’ within the realm of Electronic Music.
Hi Meetch! How’s it going?
Very good! Thank you guys for the interview.
Can you tell us about the latest episodes of your radio show, Digital Dance Radio? Any standout tracks or guest mixes that listeners should look out for?
I was super excited to have Robin Schulz as the guest mix in my latest episode, number 37. This one is definitely a standout guest mix for me because even I play his songs frequently. Super cool how things are coming full circle for me in the EDM world.
How has Digital Dance Radio evolved since its inception? Have there been any changes in format or content?
Nothing really has changed, but it just got even more enjoyable. Because of the show, I even find new tracks and good transitional songs for my shows. It’s like an hour practice session that I also get to release for people to hear. I love it.
What inspires the track selection for your radio show? How do you choose which songs to feature in each episode? And had this changed from when you started curating music for the show?
Well, I always like to find new music on music pools, so I filter the search to a specific genre and download loads of new music and sit and listen. I love doing it this way because I discover artists I’ve never heard of, and it almost always makes it into the mix. And it gives me more music to play doing it this way too.
Are there any upcoming episodes or special features on Digital Dance Radio that you’re particularly excited about?
As of now, nothing super new or as big as Robin Schulz. But life is full of surprises so maybe something soon!
How do you stay connected with your listeners? Do you incorporate listener feedback or requests into your shows?
Wow, that’s a really good idea actually. Maybe I can come up with something like that. I usually answer all of my Instagram messages and try to interact with my fans as much as possible. I’m not sure of many people who are ONLY fans of the radio show. Usually, it’s people that discover me from a live performance and I start connecting with them from there. Then they discover ‘Digital Dance Radio’.
Have there been any memorable moments or episodes on Digital Dance Radio lately, that stand out to you? If so, what made them special?
Nothing that’s as big as the Robin Schulz recent guest mix. But I know there will be bigger moments coming!
How do you see Digital Dance Radio evolving in the future? Any new features or changes on the horizon?
I am confident the guest mixes are going to get bigger, with super well-known artists and that’s what I am most excited for. It’s been climbing and climbing and I’m very excited that soon there will be someone I’ve looked up to have a slot on the show.
Are there any collaborations or partnerships related to Digital Dance Radio that you’re currently working on?
Nothing as of now.
What message or experience do you hope listeners take away from tuning in to Digital Dance Radio?
I hope people discover loads of new music this way. Because I realized that I have 37 episodes so far. If each episode is 1 hour, and each mix is about 17 songs. That’s about 629 new songs for people because I don’t really repeat tracks in the episodes. That’s A TON of new music for discovery!
As he remains motivated and committed to bringing fresh sounds to his listeners via his ‘Digital Dance Radio’ episodes, Meetch is on a path to garnering even more attention, solidifying himself high on the list of talents to watch on the Electronic Music scene today. So, we close this interview by thanking Meetch for his time and encouraging you to follow him across social media, as Meetch surely remains one not to be missed.
