Full EP ‘Dawn’ reflects Polké’s impressive creative range across five varied tracks united by her vocals, now intimate and vulnerable, now bold and hooky. ‘Ghost’ marries pizzicato, syncopated themes with slow piano chords and breathy vocals; ‘Dawn’ is dark, pulsing club fuel from her Swiss underground roots; ‘Find Me’ is emotional, unstructured, harmonic; ‘Everybody Knows’, whiledancefloor-ready, celebrates her songwriting, its catchy topline riding the beat.
Focus track ‘Let Myself Go’: a resistless ebb & flow of complex beats, fuzzy bass, melodic notes like indie guitar, cut through by Natascha’s rich, clear, soulful voice yearning ‘let me in… I’ll let myself go’.
