‘Solarmaxxing’ mini-album tracks: ‘You Belong’ opens on the water with breezy strings, melodic bass, and easeful vocals, pure sun-on-skin pleasure; title track ‘Solarmaxxing’ takes summer outside, playful breakbeat percussion under bright, struck-string melody. ‘Star Child’ rides machine drums, a purring acid bassline, and a sultry vocal into the heat of a city night, while ‘Nude’ follows deeper underground: clap-back drums, echo, stealth bass, harmonium-like chords, sunrise through warehouse glass. ‘Loro’ plants a massive sound system by the water, marimba heat, a rolling groove with palms swaying, boats drifting past the dancefloor. ‘Endless Summer’ closes with rising piano, rattling jazz synths and polyrhythms over heavy, swung house, an ode to the ways summer brings people together.
More about Nutritious: Nutritious signed his first record deal at 16, was promoting at the Palladium by 17, and held the first residency as Save The Robots transitioned into its next chapter – at the height of Giuliani’s cabaret crackdown – playing all-night all-vinyl Saturday sets for the devoted East Village crowd.
Multi-talented and always involved, he’s a contributing author to the NYT bestselling book ‘Living Well’ he’s a founding team member of DoubleBlind Magazine. He’s helped raise over $150K for the National Down Syndrome Society and lends time to Bailey House, the MS Foundation, Boys & Girls Club Malibu, and the Last Prisoner Project.
