Having recently impressed with his official remix of Dorian Craft’s ‘Kilamba’ back in April, French DJ, producer and Diversions Music co-founder OXIA now returns to his label for his first multi-track release of the year, with ‘Runway’ EP.
OXIA’s ‘Runway’ EP marks a continued run of fine studio form for the established Grenoble-based artist, whose carefully curated catalogue of productions has earned him a reputation as one of the most respected artists on the international electronic music circuit.
Kickstarting the EP in style, we’re treated to the emphatic opener, ‘Run’. Harnessed by a unique sonic artistry, the track is a testament to OXIA’s exceptional talent and unbridled creativity in the studio. From his soul-stirring melodies to his infectious rhythms, OXIA captivates the listener with his use of emotional depth; showcasing an unwavering dedication to his craft and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of electronic music with each passing release.
On the flip is the vibrant closer ‘Good Way’; a spellbinding slice of melodic house music that represents some of the label’s most refined output to date. Intoxicatingly fluid, OXIA’s impressive musicality shines front and centre, together with his penchant for deep, melodic soundscapes. Characterised by mesmerising arpeggios, uplifting synth work and exquisite production values, the record’s sonic texture is both hypnotic and gripping, as OXIA delivers a perfectly judged, dancefloor cut that explores a highly nuanced and dynamic sound palate.

About Diversions Music:
Since their first encounter more than 15 years ago and several collaborative EPs later, influential French artists OXIA and Nicolas Masseyeff decided to share their vision on electronic music through the eyes of their own label: Diversions Music. The label was established in July 2016 with the ‘Connivence’ EP; a three-tracker produced by the duo themselves. As the name indicates, the label is a soundboard for a diverse range of electronic music: from melodic soundscapes to the more techy attitudes, from dancefloor-friendly grooves to the deeper shades of the soul. Diversions Music is about the heart and not a style.
