Simina Grigoriu returns to Drumcode LTD with Frame Control, a four-track EP that captures her continued evolution through precision-engineered grooves, dynamic tension and forward-focused energy. Following the success of her previous Drumcode LTD releases, Declare Me and Divine Assignment, Simina once again delivers a body of work that balances raw physical intensity with intricate rhythmic detail, reaffirming her place among contemporary techno’s most focused and refined producers.
Built around movement, contrast and carefully sculpted atmosphere, Frame Control explores the interplay between structure and release. Across four distinct yet interconnected tracks, Simina channels hypnotic momentum, sharp percussive design and immersive low-end pressure into a release that feels both purposeful and instinctive. The result is the reflection of an artist continually sharpening her sonic identity while staying deeply connected to the dancefloor.
The opening title track ‘Frame Control’ wastes no time establishing the EP’s intent. Driven by rolling percussion, pulsating bass pressure and tightly woven rhythmic layers, the track unfolds with a commanding sense of motion. Subtle atmospheric textures drift beneath its muscular groove, creating a feeling of controlled intensity that builds with precision and restraint.
‘Coconut Milk’ follows with more intense energy, balancing hypnotic percussion with warm, evolving textures and groove-led momentum. Beneath its driving framework lies a subtle sense of swing and movement, allowing the track to breathe while maintaining the focused pressure that defines Simina’s productions.
The EP’s third cut, ‘Liminality’, moves deeper into immersive territory.
