SUNESIS, the solo project of Barcelona-based producer Melisa Blomberg, announces the release of DESTINATIONS: an 11-track album that is a sonic and aesthetic tribute to the golden age of science fiction. DESTINATIONS unfolds cinematic soundscapes, recreated with synthesizers and otherworldly atmospheres.
This is clearly reflected in the single “Galaxy Empress,” the track with which the Argentine artist presents this album, the first of her career to be released on vinyl, in a limited Arctic-Pearl or pearly blue edition, and the result of five years of sonic evolution.
The album follows the journey begun with Music For Space Stations (2020), expanded with the space opera ORBITAL (2023), and culminated in her darkest album, Mercury EP (2024).
- A unique release –
Limited edition of 300 copies, with the first 100 accompanied by Augmented Reality Space Travel Postcards, brought to life in 3D thanks to a collaboration with TheScifiNerds (Barcelona). Visuals created by hand in Blender 3D, Photoshop, and Procreate, inspired by Syd Mead, Enki Bilal, and 1970s space airbrush art.
SUNESIS creates music with hardware synthesizers and Bitwig, with a style reminiscent of Röyksopp, Boards of Canada, and SURVIVE. Her sound combines retro-futuristic exploration with a cinematic approach, under hashtags like #spacesynth and #sci-fi.
DESTINATIONS is more than an album: it’s an immersive experience that connects music, art, and technology, inviting you to explore a universe where the future and the past intertwine in an analog way.
