The Marseille producer returns with a sun-soaked taste of his forthcoming seventh album, arriving October 9th
French producer, songwriter and electro-pop architect Kid Francescoli unveils his captivating new single ‘City of Gold’, the second release from his forthcoming album A Kind Wave, set for release on October 9th via All Night Long / Believe France.
A shimmering blend of hypnotic melodic loops, relentless rhythm and immersive atmosphere, ‘City of Gold’ feels destined to soundtrack summer sunsets and late-night dancefloors alike. The track features the singular voice of Nigerian singer Demigod, whose magnetic presence adds a rich new dimension to Kid Francescoli’s unmistakable sun-drenched electronic world. Their collaboration began organically through Instagram, opening the door to one of the album’s most addictive moments.
For over a decade, Kid Francescoli has crafted a deeply evocative musical universe where vintage synths, contemplative electronics and emotional songwriting collide. Emerging from Marseille’s vibrant creative landscape, his sound has continuously evolved through releases including With Julia and Play Me Again, the latter featuring the global breakout track ‘Moon’ which gained over 160 million streams, which later found worldwide success through TikTok and introduced his music to a new generation of listeners.
Now, with his seventh studio album A Kind Wave, Kid Francescoli enters a bold new chapter. Rooted in electro-pop yet reaching toward broader horizons, the record is an ode to movement, connection and renewal – inspired by travel, encounters and the euphoric feeling of life returning with the first days of summer in the South of France.
“What inspires me most in music is music itself… and the effect it has on people,” explains Kid Francescoli. That philosophy flows throughout A Kind Wave – an album built on warmth, emotion and human connection, balancing dancefloor energy with cinematic intimacy.
The album also deepens his creative partnership with singer and multi-instrumentalist Andréa Durand, who appears across five tracks including forthcoming third single ‘Don’t Get On The Plane’, arriving September 9th. Their chemistry pushes Kid Francescoli into new sonic territories, blending soft pop, R&B, soul and dance influences into his established electro aesthetic. Across the record, Kid Francescoli expands his world through a rich cast of collaborators and influences. From the African-infused pulse of ‘City of Gold’ to the Brazilian softness of ‘Do Meu Coração’, A Kind Wave embraces openness and escape while retaining the producer’s signature contemplative touch.
Kid Francescoli has also announced an extensive European headline tour for autumn 2026, bringing his immersive live show to audiences across the continent. Kicking off at London’s Electric Brixton on October 14th, the tour will travel through Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona and Paris before concluding with a special hometown performance in Marseille on December 5th. Renowned for transforming his sun-drenched electro-pop into a deeply emotional and cinematic live experience
A Kind Wave was produced alongside Robin Coudert, known as Rob, producer and live keyboardist for Phoenix, who helped shape a sound that feels simultaneously more powerful, precise and emotionally expansive than ever before. With ‘City of Gold’ introducing this new era, the album promises an invitation to surrender to the wave.
