LaGore releases the video for “Deseo pa’ ti”, the new single after the release of “Ya no quiero tu amor” in November 2024. “Deseo pa’ ti”, the new single by Utrera native Lidia Navarro (LaGore), continues to focus on the versatility of electronic music and “quejío flamenco” with a unique and surprising aplomb; a song composed and produced by the artist herself, just like the previous releases that make up this eclectic and avant-garde project. LaGore’s new song is a cry of overcoming, of freedom and of courage to overcome adversity, a breath of encouragement in those moments of mental instability and difficulties that anyone can go through in the course of their life. “Deseo pa’ ti” represents the push needed to fight against the current as the lyrics of this single refer to: “I only wish for you, that you go up, up, and break with the tide, that you are free and wild at last, and that you live as you want.” “There is no better wish for a daughter, a brother, a mother, a friend, a love… Than overcoming an obstacle. And giving them the will to live, that will to live that they need so much” LaGore The influences that mark LaGore’s current work range from flamenco, to industrial, Punk, Drum and Bass, or even Breakbeat. She takes as references such significant artists as Prodigy, Marilyn Manson, Massive Attack, Siouxie Sioux, Nina Hagen or Bauhaus; as well as great names in flamenco. LaGore (Utrera, Seville 1987), alias of Lidia Navarro, is currently a sound technician, music producer, composer and singer. Although she is known as Lidia Gore or Gore (through social networks and her friends), the band she leads adopts her nickname to support the project. She comes from the land of great flamenco artists, Utrera. She grew up in a family that was fond of singing and dancing, so from a young age she was linked to this genre. She performed in various cultural events and won awards in many saeta and flamenco competitions; Later, she joined rock bands. She took part in the Festival del Mostachón in Utrera in homage to Enrique Montoya, sharing the bill with artists such as Carmen Linares, Rafael de Utrera, Curro de Utrera and José Galán. She participated in television programs such as Canal Sur (Punto y Música). She published an electronic album with reminiscences of Post-Punk, which she presented at the Gothic Festival in Sofia (Bulgaria), as well as other places in Spain. She was awarded, along with guitarist Fran Amaranto, the UNED category prize in the IV song contest with the adaptation of “Bodas de Sangre” by Federico García Lorca. Her song “El Boticario” was chosen as part of the soundtrack of the film Marilyn and the Wasps, brought to the cinemas. Lidia Navarro continues her journey with other musical projects, although now she is immersed in the band LaGore, supported by some exceptional musicians, the artist from Utrera reaffirms her roots with the fusion of flamenco and electronics. Clapping for tangos and tap dancing for Breakbeat, a provocative style impregnated with a lot of “macarreo”, ingenuity, punk attitude, gothic aesthetics and flamenco “quejío”; all accompanied by electronics, old school and new school synths. A proposal that will make the most skeptical vibrate.
