Your journey in the music industry has been remarkable, and you’veachieved great success already. Can you share with us some of the keymoments that shaped your career and brought you to where you are today?
First of all, thank you for having me here for this. Yes as you mentioned I have achieved some success in my career but I think this is still not the place where I am being satisfied as an artist and I am still keep going. If I say some key points for the success, hardworking and my dedication brought me here today. I had to work on my sound and do so many experiments with the DAW since I learned this alone without any teacher in my life for music. Apart from that the support I got from huge names in the industry such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick warren and Guy J, highlighted my name in the industry. Above all of them the love from my fans all over the world including my country kept me in a good place.
As an artist, it’s crucial to have a distinctive sound. How would youdescribe your musical style, and what elements do you believe set youapart from other electronic music producers?
I always tried to maintain a significant sound for my tracks and some elements that can remind my name to the listeners without looking at the track name or the artist name when they hear my tracks. I always wanted my tracks to be very groovy and I wanted them to have a good drive and give a massive energy to the dance floor. For that I always used a specific bassline style and percussions that boost the drive of the tracks. I think that makes my sound different from others.
Sudbeat, Hernan Cattaneo’s label, is highly regarded in the industry. What was it like to have your music released on such a prestigiousplatform, and how did it impact your career?
When I started this sound and thought to become an artist in this industry, I had a bucket list of record labels that I wanted to sign in. Sudbeat was one of them and Heranan cattaneo used to be one of the biggest supporter since my beginning too. In 2020 I could have that achievement and could sign a tune in there and it was a very iconic day in my life as an artist. I hope to release few more tracks in there and working on it in these days.
Sri Lanka has a rich cultural heritage. Has your Sri Lankan backgroundinfluenced your music in any way, and do you draw inspiration from yourroots when producing tracks?
Sri lanka has a good background when it comes to art and music. We have different variations in our music industry but electronic dance music didn’t take a big place in our industry since then. Nowadays the underground music scene is booming in my country and this has been a dream place that all the artist wanted to perform in the global industry. My inspiration came for this from the international market and it wasn’t the electronic dance music alone. Some legendary artists such as Avicii and Freddie mercury has influenced my dreams a lot to become an artist and a performer in my life.
Apart from all of them, my dreams and hopes gave me the the strength for my own success.
Collaboration is a powerful tool in the music industry. Have you workedwith any other artists or producers, and how do you approachcollaboration to ensure a seamless creative process?
Yes I have worked with so many good names in the industry and have produced more than 20 tracks together. And I have got Hernan cattaneo for a remix of my own original mix for my record label, Till the sunrise too. When I wanted to collaborate with an artist I believe that the energies and the vibe of we both should be tally and the taste of music and the style should be same. I do always work with such artists and there are few Eps coming up in future too.
In a rapidly evolving electronic music landscape, staying relevant isessential. How do you keep your sound fresh and innovative while stayingtrue to your artistic vision?
Yes this is 100% true and the consistency in the industry is one of the most essential part of being a successful artist. As you said we cannot give the same sound or same style always for the crowd since it will make them boring or we might not feel special for ourselves too. I always trying new sounds and elements in my tracks and also I keep making tunes that in different energy too. Always I try to keep that significant energy in my tracks while experimenting new additions to the sound I make.
As an upcoming star, what are your goals and aspirations for the futureof your music career? Are there any specific milestones you hope toachieve in the coming years?
Winning the hears of all the fans all over the world in electronic dance music industry as well as the massive music industry with good music is the biggest goal and dream of mine while hoping to perform in all the massive festivals around the world. I want to be brand, a Name that fans cannot forget ever and I wanted them to Remember my name as an artist who always made music for their hearts and souls.
