Andrei Orlov is an electronic music producer inspired by the late 70s and early 80s – his first releases in 2017-2020 relied heavily on the legacy of such genres as space synth, kraut, electro and italo. In December 2024 Andrei debuts with a release on the acclaimed German techno label Nown – ‘Tired And Emotional’, an analogue-infused hybrid of techno and old-school electro. The EP includes the remix by a renowned German producer Schallfeld – a sleek melodic techno track that adds a modern vibe to the original.
‘The track was composed really fast, within just a couple of days, amidst winter darkness – it was driven by mixed emotions – frustration, annoyance and hopelessness, on one hand, and the urge to overcome the isolation, on the other’.
