The new Summer Soulstice 2024 Compilation by Seattle mainstay Uniting Souls features new music by a host of talent from across the US West Coast and Hawaii. The album consists of eleven new tracks, ranging from deep to techy, bass-house, as well as some notable gems – the driving bass line and dreamy, fast-tempo, melodic chords of Andy Clockwork’s “Regenerate,” the psy-flavored ethnic grooves of “Persia,” the proggy/melodic debut release by dj/producer I Will Control (whom you’ll want to keep on your radar), the future-disco, synth-layered remix “Discotello” by the label’s longtime resident Jordan Strong, and what’s perhaps the ultimate organic summer groove – the aptly titled “The Sun,” by Hawaii producer Sovato, with its haunting melodic vocal. all give this release wide appeal across genres.
Lots more on this album to fill your crates for summer festival vibes – the bass-heavy banger “My House by Hawaii duo JonPaul and MettaAtom, the ravey, tongue-in-cheek underground jam “Freaks of the Industry” by San Francisco’s Native Intelligence, the Afro-flavored house anthem “Vibe” by Trisk3lion, all nicely complimented by a deep house journey in Ben Meadow’s “Bleu Nuit,”a node to his French Canadian origins, and the soulful “Whachu Want” featuring the R&B vocal prowess of Afrodyete (co-produced by Jordan Strong and fellow Los Angelino artist Knoe1).
The release closes out with “Midnight Candles” a deep house stomper by Indigo Kid (SF), and “Higher Energy,” the progressive/melodic debut release by rising Seattle dj/producer Jaoga z, another emerging artist to keep on your radar.
