SALO Orgullo was born in 2023 in Salobreña (Granada) as a pioneering and ambitious project: the first Pride festival on the entire Andalusian Costa Tropical. This initiative, far from being a simple event, emerged with a transformative vision for the region, driven by Nyoman Producciones Honestas and David Quintana, director of the Los Quintana Company and director of the festival.
Since its first edition, SALO Orgullo has surpassed all expectations, consolidating itself as a cultural, inclusive, and benchmark event in southern Spain. Its impact has been so significant that it has managed to position itself as a representative event in record time, attracting the attention of the media and institutions, as well as a diverse and enthusiastic audience.
The essence of SALO Orgullo goes beyond mere celebration. Its fundamental objective is to create a space for raising awareness that actively involves the local community, public organizations, and private companies in defending the rights of the LGBTQ+ community through art, culture, and entertainment. SALO Orgullo promotes fundamental values of respect and coexistence, generating a positive and lasting social impact.
For this edition, SALO Orgullo takes an important leap forward, expanding its programming, increasing its reach, and strengthening its commitment to diversity, as well as highlighting minorities in different social, cultural, and sporting spheres. And with the support of the Salobreña City Council as an institutional sponsor, this summer, enjoy a unique festival that transforms the celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride into an unforgettable experience. From July 4th to 5th, Salobreña will be filled with music, color, art, and diversity with a new festival concept that goes far beyond concerts.
Over two days, Friday, July 4th and Saturday, July 5th, you can enjoy your favorite artists, discover new emerging talents, and be swept away by an unprecedented show. All of this will be led by a charismatic master of ceremonies, featuring dancers, drag queens, the reading of the opening speech, and the highly anticipated presentation of the Salo Orgullo 2025 Award.
In addition, we will surprise you with a first-class gastronomic experience, paired with beverages from renowned brands, in a setting where every detail is designed to help you experience Pride like never before. This year, Peru is the guest country, and we will feature a live performance by an indigenous Amazonian muralist, who will transform the festival space on the big day, Saturday, July 5th, with a vibrant and lively work.
And that’s not all: during the day, the city of Salobreña comes alive with free programming from Friday, July 4th to Sunday, July 6th, open to all audiences: film, theater, puppetry, sports, and cultural exhibitions celebrating diversity and inclusion in all its forms.
As the first preview of the lineup, the organizers of SALO Orgullo 2025 announce La Casa Azul, Paula Cendejas, Supremme De Luxe, Putochinomaricón, Alexander Som, and Vanessa Torru.
